What happens when you aren’t Trauma Informed?
What happens to you?
You get sick later in life…cancer, diabetes, arthritis, other inflammatory dis-eases
You have challenges with your relationships - divorce, parenting challenges
You experience abuse and or neglect and don’t recognize it
You experience burn out
You gain weight
You become addicted to alcohol and/or drugs, sex/porn or food
You experience mental health challenges
You don’t realize this is happening because you live and work in a toxic environment
You over help others to the expense of your own well being
You might attempt suicide
What happens to your family and friends?
You notice that your friends and family are experiencing serious health issues
Your friends and family members are dying at an early age due to inflammatory illnesses
Your friends and family are interacting with their friends and family in inappropriate ways
Your friends and family are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol
Your friends and family are judgmental
Your friends and family are carrying limiting beliefs
Your friends and family are seeking gratification from money and material items
Your friends and family are seeking diagnosis for mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression and attention deficit.
What happens in your community?
People are hooked on technology and watch the news
People are working in systems that carry limiting beliefs and are mostly populated with people who have experienced trauma but have not addressed it and are not healing
People are taking lots of prescription medication
People are judging children (schools) when they are not conforming to being “good” and “happy” and “smart” and “scoring high on tests”
People are judging each other for not being in the same political party
People are judging each other about the way they look
People are judging each other about their beliefs
People are judging each other about their lifestyles and sexual identity
What happens in the world?

Illness
Global disease
Fear of being safe walking down the street
Homelessness
Suicide
Climate Change
What happens as you become Trauma Informed?
You become more aware
You make different and healthier choices
You eat better
You exercise because you know it’s good for you, not because your “should”
You meditate and practice mindfulness
You sleep longer and rest when needed
You become a better listener
You choose activities and events that are in alignment with your values
You reflect on your behavior
You become more accepting of others and have more compassion
You challenge your limiting beliefs
You align with your values
