The Stress from the COVID Pandemic is NOT good stress.
It is Traumatic Stress and now Toxic Stress.
Being mandated to wear a mask and stay away from others as well as have a vaccine are Power Over situations.
They cause a stress response in the body that is now being re-triggered as we are a year in and the body remembers things as we cycle through the years.
These toxic stress responses compromise the immune system.
In order to build resilience we need to connect with others and share our feelings and emotions.
A safe space is needed.
An opportunity to do something to build self compassion is needed.
An opportunity to learn self care strategies is needed.
An opportunity to have awareness as to how to mitigate the impact of information constantly being put in your field about what you should do without thought or mention of emotional stress it creates is needed.
Funding for COVID relief is available. How it is used is up to you.
Employers can advocate and use funds to support themselves and their employees mental and physical wellbeing.
Learn about the Immune System.
Learn about the benefits of Therapy.
Learn about how to calm the body and mind.
These are things that are not being broadcast in the news and are essential if we want to “survive” the pandemic.
People are reacting in Fear.
