Join us on November 17th for a virtual event from 8:30 am PST to 2:00 pm PST
as we focus on sustaining systems, engaging communities, and transforming care.
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted feelings of safety and protection for many children and their families; led to elevated stress responses, potentially compounding the impact of other stressors; and added layers to experiences of trauma and adversity.
Attendees will explore the complex events of the past year and a half and the needs of children, youth, and families associated with the pandemic.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN TO EVERYONE
Jessie will be presenting from 11:30 -12:30 PST
Giving Yourself Permission to Be the Change You Want to See
Using Connection, Communication, Cohesive Narrative, Critical Thinking and Creativity
Together we will explore examples of how we can change our practices to be more focused on the new systems we wish to create. I will share examples of challenges children, families and communities face and how to shift OUR focus to be more Trauma Informed. We will create statements affirming the change we wish to make.
During the conference we hope participants will:
Learn about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted children, families, communities, and services for families.
Discover ways specific groups have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and how that has influenced long term recover for those communities.
Obtain recommendations and strategies to help support long-term recovery and healing.
Hear challenges families, communities, providers, agencies, and systems have encountered while trying to support recovery following COVID-19.
